Re: What is this!!?? Mmmmmm??

I give up. Looks like a blast to drive. Reminds me of a TR-3 in my past.

Re: Time for some retro racing !!

Phil, I have that track, minus the steering wheels. It took two big trucks and a lot of friends to bring it to my house from the tobacco barn where it had been stored for many years. Its a 1965 American Model Raceways Imperial, the forerunner of the "King" track we see today, made by vario...

Re: Guest at the Red team!

All great shots, and as usual, I wish I could attend sometime, but this time, you've shown the food. What IS that? Do you dip it in that tomato sauce I see on the side?

Re: Clu racing - Italian style.

Every time I start to think I'm in slot car heaven, that it just couldn't be better, I see a European club that has done things I never dreamed of.

By the way, Phil... "Clu Racing"?

Re: New cars from Ninco

Honestly, I can't imagine why anyone buys Nincos anymore. The quality was never that much better than others, actually, much lower quality than many others, and they want more (much more), than double price for the same cars they sold before. And let's not forget that the cars that cost less than ha...

Re: Wanting any good slot car body for a Plafit 1/32 Scale

Rhys, I'm not sure this is what you want, but Patto's vac bodies do just fine on the Super32 Playfit chassis. I'm currently building a Land Speed Record attempt car with an Audi streamliner body from the '30s. The best thing about Patto's is that they are freshly made. They don't get brittle for a l...

Re: Scalextric Lotus 49 Graham Hill

Excellent review. It is disconcerting that there were assembly errors. Mine didn't have those, but there was a slight rub in the drive. The motor shaft retaining rim on the crown gear had a "squeeze" in it that rubbed the motor shaft every revolution. I've seen this many times before on al...

Re: Slot.it Mazda 787B Le Mans 1991

I have been waiting for this one for awhile. I was disappointed by the hopeless placement of the rear inserts, and was gratified by how easy it is to fix them. Its just nothing at all, and I can't understand why the error was made to begin with. The rear wheels have an extra long ferrule that extend...

Re: Where's the money going???

Interesting. Given today's exchange rate, you are getting the cars on average $6US cheaper than we are in the States. I will say we are seeing more sales and special pricing on existing stock. On dealer is selling slot.its three at a time for $99US

I followed Dan's plan, and I can tell you, this idea is a beaut. Think of it- perfectly trued tires in seconds, completely in control at all times.

Re: Alan Moffat Mustang

I picked it up on a pre-order this week. It really is gorgeous. I was ready to draw the line on the Mustangs and Camaros, but I'm very happy that I didn't. The unusual shade of green is exactly correct which is surprising. It looked different in the sun from in shade, and so does this one. The usual...

Re: Vanquish MG cars

The white Tamiya grease is just the right thing. Carefully pop the diff apart, pack it full, wip the outer parts of the diff clean, then snap it back together. Its important to make sure the mating surfaces are clean, because they are only held together by friction on the lugs. I have four of the Va...

Re: Cars - What have you bought/what are you buying?

Phil, if you haven't had one of David's RMS Resins cars yet, I have detailed pictures I can send you. I did a '65 Chevy Impala a while back, and really enjoyed it. I have six or so of his kits.
