Tasman Series Lotus

http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff224/DesloTed/zzz.jpg Scalextric have released this as a limited edition in Spain only! It is the Lotus 49T (for tasman) as raced by Hill in the Tasman series, it differed in that it was sleeved down to 2.5 litres and had a perspex screen. So the slotcar is corre...

Re: There's more!!

Mate, I would rat a Fly March in an instant, to have that car. Unfortunately I have all the painting and modelling ability of an ape. My end result would look nothing like that. It's so good to have these magnificent 70's F1 cars coming out with all this detail. More RTR items would be awesome...

Re: Fly

Lets hope that the Fly FW07 actually sees the light of day, eventually. Might have to get another March before they all run out at the shop, before they all end up on the auction sites for a million dollars each. I hope they can get it all sorted out. As much as the old classics take a bit of sortin...

Re: F-5000 at AGP

Hi Phil The thing that struck Me most about the Historic F-5000 race was that it reminded Me of the diversity in design and shape of cars from the same era, much like F1 during the 70's. (I'd love that black Lola T332 as a slot car) Once the F1 race came on the only thing that looked differant from ...

F-5000 at AGP

Just spent a big weekend on couch watching the AGP (Webber got torpedoed again) but the highlight for Me was the massive field of 70,s Formula 5000,s .The Lolas and Chevrons, Elfins and Eagles were a spectacular sight and even better sound. I hope to see more of them.

Re: Thoughts on the Fly Lola T70s?

I replaced the dodgy plastic front stub axles with a solid front axle. Fitted MJK's, dremeled off the motor shaft ends where they touch the tyres and fitted sleeves made from brass tube to the rear wheels where the axles push in as they tend to split easily as per most Fly classics, added a little w...

Re: AUTOart 'C' type Jaguar

The C type must be quicker with "The Stig" driving, surely.
The Jockey was definately a bit ordinary.
AA is also doing a very nice D type but also fitted with a jockey.
However The actual car is awesome, still better than my AA Miura which has awesome detail but no driver at all.

York Motor Museum

Hello all, I am currently on 2 weeks annual leave, and have been spending my time constructively by watching various motor racing videos such as Le Mans with Steve Mcqeen, the 1980 world F1 review and every Bathurst from 1973 to 1995. In addition I decided that it was an opportune time to visit the ...

Re: Villeneuve to V8 Supercars ??

http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff224/DesloTed/gilleslb.jpg This is the Villeneuve I wish I had seen in real life, Gilles. They just don't drive F1 like that anymore. Anyone for oversteer? For Me personally F1 seemed to go a bit dull after the lates 70's early 80's. More seventies F1 slotcars pl...

Re: Villeneuve to V8 Supercars ??

And what about little Bargs back in the mix with Sprintgas, Should be an interesting garage what with the history between him and Murph. Philip Island in 02 I think for starters. I had to laugh at the Darth crack, My daughter calls Tander - Garth Vader, not too popular in this house I'm afraid despi...

Re: Villeneuve to V8 Supercars ??

Quote from Jordan - `The Enforcer` is the best thing to ever happen to PM Motorsport Full agreement there Jordan, after a couple of leanish years after the Championship win, the enforcer seems to have come alive again. So maybe the fit is mutually good all round. Even being slightly biased towards t...

Villeneuve to V8 Supercars ??

Seems that Supercheap Racing is in current negotiations with Jacques Villeneuve to be teamate to Russell Ingall for the 2009 V8 Supercar season. The man once descibed by Patrick Head as Having been 1997 World champ despite doing everything possible to blow it, in what was undoubtably the best car in...

Re: Welcome to the new Slotcar Outhouse

Cheers Phil, Yes mate new email, new house etc. Gee mate I thought We'd heard about the last from You online, after the old Outhouse was systematically destroyed after the migration from EZ board. Must have been a bit soul destroying at the time. But the new site is great. Interesting move from Scal...

Re: Welcome to the new Slotcar Outhouse

Joy of Joys, the outhouse is alive and kicking. Hi everyone, I was messing about on the net and thought i'd google a bit to see if there were any remnants of the old outhouse left. Like the phoenix, there it was, the all new outhouse arising from the ashes of last years debacle when it seemed all wa...
