Visiting QLD

Just giving a massive heads up in advance, I'm going to be visiting QLD at the end of September/beginning of October. I naturally want to catch up with everyone. Therefore, please let there be slot cars! Preferably at the end of September! :D Getting away from Tassie for a couple of weeks to have a ...

Photography forum rules

Rules are pretty simple for the photography forum. 1 - Only post up/link to images that you yourself have taken. 2 - Must be race car or slot car related. 3 - If the image is large, linking to it instead of embedding it is preferred. Other than that, pretty simple. I might do a general 'Awesome Raci...

Cyphs' photo stuff

I randomly mentioned to Phil the other day that I'd start a thread of photos I've been taking since getting a digital SLR and a heap of gear, and figured I'd start it up now. It's my hobby at the moment, and a very entertaining one at that, and subsequently is something I've sold about 99% of my slo...

Re: Posting pictures on the Outhouse

denny - photobucket is just a third party site that people use to host their pictures etc on. It's free to sign up to and use. It's found at http://www.photobucket.com It's where pretty much every single image that is used on the outhouse - all the review pictures etc - are hosted, to cut down on ba...

Re: Brabham Fancar Slotcar

We all do weird things for hobbies we enjoy, heh. I've acquired in the past couple of months about $4k worth of digital slr camera equipment, just so I can go take photos at motorsport events - without any real plan on "how do I sell this stuff". When the lens you buy costs twice as much a...

Re: Fly Viper Loose front wheels?

Hi Guys, I am trying to sort out a new Fly Dodge Viper my brother purchased last week. I is a front engined car, the 2 things that are terrible on it are, the driveshaft bush keeps coming out and this has already chewed up 1 rear gear, and the front wheels are on some sort of separate pin each side...

Re: Carrera 30K Motor

Yes Phil, Same pinions, I took the car down to Red Racer today and tried it on his track, and it is killer fast, I may not have enough power on my home track? I am running 14.8V Carrera power pack. Volts are fine, but whats the amp rating on that carrera power pack? That'd probably be the major dif...

Re: Professor Motor PM2110 controllers

Phil, What did you use as the lubricant for the wiper arm. I know it says something about a pfte silcon or something. Regards Egg Eggy - I've got a spray on PTFE lube that I got from Jaycar, it's useless. I actually put a little bit of voodoo juice in front of the wiper arm and just cycle it throug...

Re: An observation?

Because while people are upgrading to new monitors, theres still people out there who haven't upgraded since Moses came down from Mount Sinai... and they subsequently have monitors that support hardly any resolution. This forum for example looks absolutely massive at a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a l...

Re: New Trophy class

You also mentioned you may be back for a visit this time of year , is that still on the cards ? Paul Just about to start a new job, so that won't be a goer unfortunately! Gotta spend some $$$ on the R33 to get a few things fixed (rear main seal, and probably a headgasket), so it'll be in the future...

Re: New Trophy class

With the large numbers you guys get up there, that'd be an impressive field for a race class!
