SCX Cuda

Post by kenneth »

Review of the SCX `Cuda looks promising - can`t wait for this one! Not a great fan of American Muscle but i love the `Cuda and Charger cars.
As the Charger is coming from Pioneer later this year and the Scaley General Lee, going to be some fine USA cars around.

They are excellent models!!!

My pair arrived today from Cincy Slots, absolutely awesome finish, best I've seen from SCX so far...

I'll be getting another over as a "Runner" in the next week or so, am looking forward to giving it some serious track time.
Cheers,

Rob....

This is what SCX tells us , If it's anything like the latest Nascars it is going to be a tool!!

Hi Buzzard,

Its an RX-42B (red stamping on top of motor as opposed to black stamp on bottom).

The runner arrived from Cincy Slots in the mail yesterday, we set the track up last night and gave it a really good workout...

....I think everyone will be happy with this model, it handles beautifully and the motor should have enough shove after blueprinting (typical SCX, very torquey).

I didnt have the opportunity to run lap times last night due to a few gremlins with our layout, but it is slower than a tuned Scaley '70 Follmer Mustang (with mag), nothing surprising in that, the Scaley Mustangs were and still are a really quick car in magnet configuration.

I think the SCX 'Cuda will probably be marginally slower on fast open tracks, but a nice little technical layout will even things up nicely (horses for courses).
Cheers,

Rob....
